Getting there
Cape Town International (CPT) is the hub for Western Cape hiking. For the Otter Trail, fly to George (GRJ) or drive from Cape Town (~7–8 hours). For Giants Cup, Durban (DUR) or Bloemfontein plus road transfer to the Drakensberg — see each trail's getting there guide.
A rental car is strongly recommended outside central Cape Town. Uber/Bolt works for urban trailheads but signal drops on the mountain — plan pickup points in advance.
