On-trail — Die Galg / Eagle's Nest
My overnight stop:

Boesmanskloof – Die Galg Accommodation on the McGregor side offers thatched cottages and stone barn units near the path — from ~R850/night for 1–3 people.
Book ahead in peak hiking season.
Greyton (start or finish)
Charming Overberg village — Our group:
- Pre-hike guesthouse night before Day 1
- Bookshop, hearty dinner, slow village vibe
- Post-hike café reward on Day 2 return
Expect ZAR 500–1,200/night for B&Bs and self-catering cottages.
McGregor (start or finish)
Rustic wine-country village at the opposite end:
- Ideal if hiking Greyton → McGregor one-way
- Guesthouses and self-catering from ~R500–1,200
- Glass of local wine after the trail
