Boesmanskloof is self-catered — no trail shops or mountain huts with meals. Our group packed trail snacks, cooked oats on a gas stove at Eagle's Nest, and braaied under the stars.

Day hike (one-way)

Shop before you start
Greyton and McGregor both have local shops:
- Bread, cheese, salami for sandwiches
- Oats, instant coffee, tea
- Chocolate, nuts, biltong
- Meat or veg for braai (keep cool until evening)
Water
- Carry 2 L+ — don't rely on stream refills
- Purification tablets or filter if topping up
- Oakes Falls rock pool — scenic, icy foot soak
