HikingWithLee may earn commissions from qualifying purchases through affiliate links. This page explains which programme is in use and how that relates to product labels on the site.

Programmes in use

The only affiliate programme currently configured on HikingWithLee is Amazon Associates (product links to Amazon storefronts such as amazon.nl and related Amazon domains). Some product pages also link to retailers such as Decathlon or REI as ordinary product URLs — those are not affiliate programmes in the current site configuration.

What an affiliate link means

If you buy through a labelled affiliate link, HikingWithLee may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate availability does not decide which products appear in buying guides, how they are ranked, or what packing and trek tools suggest.

Evidence labels (not blurred)

• Used by Lee — Lee personally owns or has used the product.
• Trail tested — Lee personally used the product on hikes or treks.
• Researched — an editorial recommendation based on documented research, not personal trail use by Lee.

An Amazon link alone never creates a Used by Lee or Trail tested label. See the editorial policy for how products are selected and updated.
