Getting to Kilimanjaro: Flights, Moshi & Machame Gate

Every Kilimanjaro climb starts with a flight to northern Tanzania and a night in Moshi for gear check. Your operator handles the drive to Machame Gate.

Step 1: International → Tanzania

Lee's day: rickety bus stopping for rice and fruit supplies, then chaos at Machame Gate — hundreds of climbers, porters and guides.

Everything is on foot after the gate:
