Main pack

40–50 L for a 10-day road trip — clothes, dog kit, camera gear and day-hike layers. Leave room for Brda wine purchases.

Footwear

Trail shoes or hiking boots — wet wood in gorges, stairs at Vintgar, plateau snow patches in spring.

Water

2–3 L capacity on hike days — carry more than you think in warm months, especially with a dog.
