Overview
The Walker’s Haute Route is the classic Chamonix → Zermatt traverse through high cols, glaciers and mountain huts — roughly 200 km over 12–14 days with serious cumulative ascent. It is the natural “what’s next?” after the Tour du Mont Blanc for hikers who want more elevation and fewer villages.
Lee has not hiked this route yet. It stays on the bucket list because it is one of Europe’s most talked-about hut treks. This hub collects planning snapshots and links to first-hand guides on TMB and the Bernina Trek for honest difficulty comparisons.
When a first-hand trip happens, this page will grow into a full planning cluster. Until then, treat stats and hut notes as research checkpoints — verify on official sources before you book.
