How they feel

Bernina is quiet Swiss hut life — long days, Morteratsch glacier views, dorm dinners and RhB/postbus logistics baked into the route. It feels wilder and emptier than famous Dolomite treks.

Iseltwald is the opposite energy — turquoise water, short signed paths, terrace coffee and a boat back to Interlaken if your legs are done. Perfect when you want Switzerland without carrying a hut pack.

Many visitors do both: Bernina as the main trek, Iseltwald as a decompression day before flying home from Zürich.
